Clear Mind CBT Harrogate

Fully qualified, accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist offering CBT in Harrogate and remotely.

Welcome to Clear Mind CBT. I hope this website will give you an overview of what we can offer and how we can help you to overcome some of the challenges you may be facing. We understand that taking that first step to exploring and talking about your difficulties can be challenging but we hope that by taking this step, you can begin to see a path towards a happier future.

If you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, or other intense emotions then speaking to a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist may be beneficial to you. You may notice a feeling of dread at the day ahead or that you’re held back from achieving the things you want to in life. You may feel shy or nervous, notice changes in your body or struggle with sleep. You may be self-critical or notice difficulties with motivation or energy levels. You might have a phobia that you wish to work on or have experienced a traumatic event. These are just some of the areas that CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and EMDR can help with.

About Us

Andrew Kemp

My name is Andrew Kemp, I’m a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and owner of Clear Mind CBT. I have been practising CBT for over 10 years and worked with thousands of clients, within the NHS, through charities and privately.

I aim to work in a way that helps you to feel comfortable yet challenged. I speak in plain English and don’t overcomplicate things. It’s about finding the style and techniques that work for the individual and everyone is exactly that, individual.

I believe that the key to effective therapy is to have a strong, trusting relationship and for client and therapist to work together, as equals. I work hard to achieve that therapeutic relationship and find a style that works for the individual. I offer a free consultation and should you feel that I am not the right fit for you or your needs then I would be happy to direct you towards other therapists in the local area.

Jess Buckley

Hello! My name is Jess Buckley. I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have worked within mental health and been practising for over six years. I have worked within a variation of services within the NHS and privately and had the pleasure of helping people all over the country.

I am passionate about empowering individuals to overcome life's challenges and achieve lasting positive change. I strongly believe that every person has the capacity to cultivate their inner strength and resilience, given the right guidance and support.

My approach is centred around creating an equal, warm, and non-judgmental environment that encourages open and honest conversation. Through working collaboratively, I aim to help unravel thought and behavioural patterns that may hinder personal growth and replace them with healthier, more adaptive coping strategies.

I strive to tailor therapy to an individual’s needs and goals, recognising that no two people are alike. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or any other challenge, I aim to provide compassionate guidance, evidence-based techniques, and practical strategies to help you reach your personal goals and support you in navigating a clearer path towards leading a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
