How much do sessions cost? I realise it can be anxiety provoking for a lot of people to discuss fees so I like to be transparent with what I charge. Sessions cost £100 for a 60-minute session. If you're not sure if CBT is going to be helpful to you then I would be happy to offer a brief conversation over the phone to discuss further and there would be no obligation to take up sessions.
How do I book my first session? Please contact me using the form at the top of the page. I will ask you to complete a short assessment form to help me better understand what you're currently experiencing. We can then look at booking our first appointment where we would complete a thorough assessment and discuss a plan for our sessions.
Do you offer evening appointments? Yes, I offer appointments both through the day and on evenings.
Are you offering face to face appointments at the moment? Yes. I have assessed the risk and made the decision to offer face to face appointments in line with current guidance around hygiene and social distancing. If you would prefer not to work face to face at the current time then I am also offering appointments via Zoom and over the phone. Please get in touch if you would like any further information on this.
Will our sessions be confidential? Yes, everything we discuss will be kept confidential. The only time this confidentiality would be broken is in the interests of safety, if I felt you were either a risk to yourself or other people. I also have a supervisor that I discuss all clients with but I would not use your full name and they are bound by the same confidentiality agreement.
Why should I choose you as my therapist?
It is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist so I would always recommend looking at a couple of different therapists and their websites before making a decision. Most importantly, choose a therapist that is accredited with the BABCP, you can search the therapist’s name here https://www.cbtregisteruk.com/ to ensure that whoever you choose is fully qualified and regulated.
Where are you based? I currently occupy one of the brand new therapy rooms at Harrogate Squash and Fitness Centre, Hookstone Wood Road. There is free parking and it is around a 15 minute walk from Hornbeam Park Train Station. I also work from Krysallis Counselling on Station Parade in the centre of Harrogate, just a few minutes from the bus and train stations. I can offer phone or video appointments to people anywhere in the UK.
